Founded by local guide Garðar Ólafsson, Roam Iceland was born out of a deep passion for sharing the wild, untouched corners of this extraordinary island.
With years of experience exploring Iceland’s rugged terrain, Garðar set out to create a tour company that would offer more than just the usual sightseeing, he wanted to reveal the soul of Iceland, one remote valley and hidden hot spring at a time.

Guðlaugur, our professional driver
Meet our driver, Guðlaugur, or as everyone calls him, Gulli. He has spent years driving all over Iceland and knows the roads, the weather, and the landscape like the back of his hand. Icelandic conditions can change quickly, and when they do, whether it’s strong winds, deep snow, icy roads, or rough weather, Gulli stays calm, confident, and fully in control.
He has handled just about every situation Iceland can throw at a driver, and that experience makes a huge difference on our trips, especially when things get a little challenging. For Gulli, driving isn’t just about getting from one place to another, it’s about making sure everyone feels safe and comfortable along the way.
